Olympic Peninsula Lake Crescent and WaterFall Tour
Experience iconic breathtaking waterfalls around the Olympic Peninsula while walking through dense green trees surrounded by mosses and ferns. These fast flowing waterfalls, cascading down postcard like backdrops are an amazing sight to see in a temperate rainforest. With a knowledgeable, local guide your questions will be answered as you can kick back and enjoy the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula without the hassle of driving or planning!
Starting the day by catching a sunrise on the Hood Canal, you get the opportunity to see the Olympic Peninsula on the way to our destination. From small towns to majestic rivers and stunning views, the roughly 3 hour drive from Olympia, Washington will pass quickly.
The tour goes through the cities of Sequim and Port Angeles, with a guided history of the area being given as you take in the sights. Elk are common in the area, as are bald eagles, hawks and more.
Arriving at Sol Duc, a short hike (less than 2 miles) to Sol Duc Falls awaits you, as you take in the beauty of combining a waterfall with a rainforest. After an hour or so, the tour continues on to Lake Crescent and Marymere Falls. Marymere Falls, which is also a short, well maintained hike gives you a chance to see one of the most recogizable falls on the Olympic Peninsula. The trail, which is gorgeous starts and ends at the awe inspiring Lake Crescent and Mount Storm KIng, high above the shore. If time allows, we will then head over to the Devil’s Punchbowl along the Spruce River Trail, which is a deep hole in the rocks on the shores on Lake Crescent.
The return trip home will allow you to recap your day with the views along the famous Highway 101, and maybe if we are lucky, a sunset over the Olympic Mountains.
Highlights: Marymere Falls, Sol Duc Falls, Lake Crescent, Devils Punchbowl and the cities of Port Angeles and Sequim sitting below the Olympic Mountains.
