Olympic Peninsula Beaches Tour
Averaging over 100 inches of rain, the coast area of the Olympic Peninsula are far from dreary. With rugged sea stacks, abundant tide pool life and driftwood filled beaches, you and your family or your significant other will be intoxicated by the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula coast.
Starting the day by traveling through the old logging towns of Aberdeen and Hoquiam, then heading north past Lake Quinault toward the coast. From small towns to majestic rivers and stunning views, the roughly 2 hour drive from Olympia, Washington will give you a great idea of just how many trees are on the Olympic Peninsula.
The tour goes through the cities of Aberdeen, Hoquiam, and Forks. With a guided history of the area being given as you take in the sights. Elk are common in the area, as are bald eagles, hawks and even an occasional black bear!
We head toward the City of LaPush, Washington. In LaPush, we will have a chance to experience the local native culture before heading out on a mile long trail to Second Beach, which is the quintessential beach on the Olympic Peninsula. After an hour of exploration, we head back south, eventually arriving at Ruby Beach. Here, a short trail will take you down to the beach, allowing you time to explore the tide pools, piles of drift wood and sea stacks. Explore the beach until sunset, where you might see the most beautiful sunset of your life. After the sun finally sets, we will head back home, giving you time to relive the lifetime of memories you made today.
