The 2013 US Capitol Christmas Tree is from Washington State and you can see it!

The Pacific Northwest is famous for its trees. We are, after all, the Evergreen State. While the majority of the world think about the West Side of Cascadia as being the best region to find huge and amazing wood; this year, the White House has selected a Christmas tree from Eastern Washington. North of the Wheat Fields of the Palouse, near Colville (right next to the Idaho border) this 88-foot Engelman Spruce will be the pride of the nation this Christmas.

As a state, we should take pride in knowing our trees are the prettiest trees in the country. Even the President of the United States thinks people should see it. That is why, whether you are in Washington State or not, you need to check out this awesome tree before it gets to the US Capitol. While Christmas is well over a month away, the tree is on a national tour, on display for all to see.
