Ansel Adams would be happy to know he was cremated after death; otherwise he would be rolling around in his grave millions of times a day. Pictures of nature were one reserved for rugged travelers who carrying tons of camera equipment over many miles, now they are being snapped by every hiker in America. With the ease and simplicity of taking pictures, we no longer take picture of locations. Instead we take pictures of ourselves, celebrating being a part of nature. Taking “selfies” proves, through posting on social media, that we love the great outdoors. It isn’t enough to see just the scenery, now we need proof that we were there in person.
