Daily View: A Morning on the Olympic Peninsula 02/07/2013

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Moooooooooooooooooooooooorning Olympic Peninsula! Hopefully you all are rested and are looking forward to the weekend. It appears, if the current projections hold, that this weekend will be mostly dry and sunny around the Olympic Peninsula, meaning some amazing conditions and views all around.

For this morning’s tour, we start out on the coast, in a city in which the web-camera appears to always show a ghost town. Westport today is looking decent, albeit completely empty, so if you have the day off, head to the coast!

Further North, the beach at LaPush looks a little windy, but still pretty gorgeous. The weather should hold all weekend, so if you can, head out there!

Lake Crescent, as always, is completely beautiful right now. Go here:

Further over, Port Angles is clearing up nicely and looks to give some pretty epic views of the Strait and the Olympic Mountains.

Speaking of the Olympic Mountains, it appears the writers of the old Batman TV show were there yesterday….look at all that POW!

Sequim is sunny, which makes it a normal day for these lucky ducks living in the rain-shadow.

Both the John Wayne Marina and the Dungeness Light House are pretty right now, though the marina looks to have a black-hole sun attacking it. Quick, call Soundgarden!

Finally, we end this tour of views with proof the weather is getting better. Locate along Hood Canal, looking toward the Olympic Mountains, this webcam shows high clearing and view of the mountains starting to dominate the skyline.
