Sol Duc’s Lover’s Lane Trail
Why: With a name like Lover’s Lane, you know it has to be good! This 6 mile round trip trail is mostly flat and full of beauty. With cascading waterfalls, lakes and amazing forests, walking through here with your special someone is a perfect way to spend the day. Isolated fom cell phone service and kles from the nearest town, conversations are sure to flow as much as the water next to the trail. Romantic overlooks of waterfalls are provided for awe-inspiring views and opportunities for hugging and kissing. This hike is a favorite of many, but is rarely crowded in the off season.

Why: Typically, relationships would end if one of you suggested you both visit the Hoh. Luckily, the Hoh in the Olympic National Park is a gorgeous area full of old growth forests, moss covered trees and a pretty river working its way up to Mount Olympus. With Roosevelt Elk frequently sighted, the Hoh Rainforest is the perfect trail to hold hands, escape the daily grind of life and remember how the two of you fell in love. Let your love soar to new heights with a hike to Klahhane Ridge or Hurricane Hill, then warm back up with some hot chocolate in the awesome visitor center. Why: While not as secluded as the other trails listed, Staircase offers a romantic stroll along the gorgeous Skokomish River. With the water cascading next to the trail, as well as awesome forests, a picturesque bridge and a view of the Skokomish River Valley, this loop trail is exactly what every couple needs. Walk hand in hand along this well-maintained trail, keeping an eye out for deer and the occasional hawk and bald eagle in the trees. Cuddle on the bridge, looking up or down stream, remembering just how great it is to be with the one you love. Staircase is a great spot for those new to hiking, or those looking for a short day trek before something more romantic in town. LaPush’s Second Beach
Why: With a few miles of uninterrupted beach along the rugged and beautiful coastline of the Olympic National Park, Second Beach along LaPush is a great place to take that special someone. From hours of watching waves crash against sea-stacks, to looking for shells, agates and playing in tidal-pools full of sea life, this is an ideal place to be to spend time together. The trail is short enough that any beginning hiker can reach the beach, and the region is isolated enough to sneak in numerous kisses without having anyone watch.
